The time to conceive twins is the same time getting pregnant in general. There is nothing you can do to improve your chances of having twins besides going on fertility drugs that would cause you to release more than one egg each month. Doing that causes you the chance of having 4 or more, though, and a doctor would not allow you to do it simply to try and have twins.Which is the best time to conceive twins for those who have twins a boy and a girl pls advice?

I agree, I don't think there is a way to have twins, it just happens, if you have a high percentage of twins in your family you might have greater chances.
In order to get a boy and a girl you have to release 2 eggs in the same cycle. Boy/Girl are always fraternal (2 eggs). Fraternal twins can also be 2 boys or 2 girls and they don't have to look anything alike since they are from 2 eggs...they are only as close as regular brothers or sisters would be. Identical twins must be the same gender as they are 1 fertilized egg that splits identically. Either way - you can't improve your chances of twins without fertility drugs...and then you run the risk of higher levels of multiples. If fraternal twins run in your family then youd do have a higher chance of having them naturally...but really in the end just be thankful for a healthy baby and trust that the family that is meant for you will be the one you get.
There is no way to purposely conceive twins. It's all about CHANCE. You have a *greater* chance if you're on an infertility treatment such as Clomid. Or if you're taller than average, and if there is someone in your mother's family who has fraternal twins as they are the only type that can run in families. You can also inherit the fraternal gene from a paternal grandmother through your father.





Even then you can't guarantee getting a boy/girl combination.
