I'm totally clueless about driving cars, and i have to do a test next year. Do any drivers out their have advice?Does anyone have advice for a girl learning how to drive?
Leave your cell phone off or muted while driving....thats why you spent hours on figuring out what kind of message to put.
Also while driving you have to anticipate the worst..always keep an eye ahead of you about 1 block every now and then. Never assume just because you have a green light the other driver will stop..look both ways quickly before proceeding.
And most of all if you think it's unsafe to do anything don't do it..better to go around the block than slam on your brakes at the driveway.
Turn signals..use your turn signals at least 1/2 a block before turning especially in heavy traffic.Does anyone have advice for a girl learning how to drive?
If you're really nervous about driving on the road, go to a go-cart track and learning the basics. Sure, the controls will be a bit different, but the fundamentals of cornering and braking are similar. Then, when you finally get behind the wheel of a car, take it slow. Don't drive in traffic heavier than you are comfortable in, and don't drive fast just because some idiot behind you is in a hurry. Learn as much as you can from whoever is teaching you. Ask questions. Even the ';dumb'; ones.
My mom learned how to drive when she was over 30, and she got her motorcycle licence too. So it's not unattainable.
Good luck.

well..i believe there are some good pc discs that may give you some good knowledge and advice
Practice makes perfect, or at least, better. You'll soon get used to it. Turning off the cell phone is a good idea too.
Keep your cell phone in your purse!
