If you own a home and want to learn the proper techniques for troubleshooting electrical problems I would suggest you buy a comprehensive book from Lowe's or Home Depot. It will more than pay for itself. I read many responses that sound convincing but are totally wrong for the question that was asked. I'm not saying this is the case with the 16 year old, but if you really want to be sure, do the research yourself.
If her advice was to get professional help then follow her advice.Other than that, I do not ask electrical questions on this site. For that matter, I usually advise everyone to get qualified professional electricians for all of the work, except resetting something.
first off, i agree with JakFlak...... my personal quote that i use religiously is...... ';Advice is worth what you pay for it';....
not to be glib, as we are all here looking for help with something that we are doing to our homes...... as for me? i answer questions while i am looking for suggestions and answers pertaining to my 1927 home...... MAN did they do things different back then....... and i have gotten good advice, advice from people obviously trying to make ';points'; and then..... REALLY BAD ADVICE that sounded right at first.....

Just because everyone else in your friend circle has had a boyfriend doesn't mean you have to have one too. But, if i was going to give you advice i would say, STAY POSITIVE! there are people that like you, they just aren't expressing it or just afraid of what you will say. You don't need to feel awkward about this at all, everyone feels it at one time or another, believe me! Never say never! Just be you, and people will fall for you. there is always someone for everyone.

Our paperwork to adopt a baby girl has been in China since Oct. 2005 with still no referral. We are investigating other was to add a daughter to our family. We are interested in adopting a girl, under 2 years old, any race, mild issues considered. We have 2 boys ages 6 (adopted, hispanic) and 4 (biological) We are open to a variety of adoption situations but prefer to adopt a child who is already legally relinquished for adoption. Upon further conversation with her she told me it's some problem she has no matter how hard she scrubs down there it just doesn't smell 'better' plus our gym is second period so that defiantly does not help when she sweats. Smoking is your enemy because it deadensthe smeller. and you don't notice it when it is you and your lifestyle. I burn wood for heat and everybody knows it whereever I go and I am a clean person. My lover girl told me once she could TasTe it in my fluids even. I also like a Vadailea onion steamed in tin foil with my steak

Busch beer is different than her MLD so she knows when I have drank one at the Bar too.,I may have brushed teeth and gargled with Listren. but the old bodily disgharge get s caught everytime.[not that shes in anyway disturbed by it] ...I just know better than to lie to her about anyplace I have been or what i consumed.

I know she's convinced herself of far more danger than really exsists, and I also know she could do fine. She already rides a scooter, and she can skate too. She resists all my attempts to move on to a bicycle, which our family would like to do together (if all the family participates) Should I just let it go? I don't want to force her, or do I? There was nothing to it since I already had the balance part down because of the scooter.
I say buy her a bike and have it available. Then leave her silly little butt. She will get tired of being left behind and decide to do it on her own. It always goes much better if the kid decided to do it instead of being pushed (not that you are). First of all, be confident! ^_^
Talk about yourself, but also ask her about herself too, because that will let her know you care about what she thinks/likes.
Figure out what she likes, and talk about it. Be careful not to pretend you like all the same things.
If she's on a social networking site (Facebook, Myspace.. etc) strike up a conversation with her.
Get to know her friends, that's usually a clue to what she likes.
Just try to act confidence, if you're all meek and timid it's showing us that you dont really like yourself, so why should we? I know it might seem crazy, but that's how our minds work.
I'm not saying you need to be over confident and loud, just feel comfortable in your own skin and show her that you're willing to stand your ground to get her as a girlfriend.

Say anything that will open up a conversation besides ';I like you, or hi my name is.'; If you introduce yourself like that she will think you have an agenda and are the creepy guy of the office. Just say something like you would to a co-worker, make her comfortable in your precense. She'll intuitively know you like her anyway, it's girl radar. After she responds, say something that makes her laugh. If she laughs your halfway there. I don't know a woman that doesn't like a guy that can make her laugh, and if she laughs she is interested enough that she'll keep talking to you, regardless if she is single or not.
Get a little conversation going for 5 minutes or so, if you can. If you can't you're going to have to go through this whole process again at another time. Advice for potty training a two and a half year old girl with no interest in using the potty?
I have a two and a half year old little girl. We have tried everything including bribing her to get her to use the potty. She just seems to have no interest. She will sit on the potty for an hour if I give her something to do but will never go to the bathroom. Ah, the rewards almost never work, and she is only two and a half, so you have nothing to worry about. Just go with pull ups or diapers for now. And is she using a potty seat or the full sized toilet? because the full sized toilet might be intimidating to her too pee or poop in, or she might not like the potty chair, either way, try asking her which one she would rather use, and try the one you are using not now.
Then enrolled her in a daycare, it is actually illegal for schools to discriminate against children because they are not toilet trained yet (in most states at least). Enrolling her in daycare/preschool will help because if once she makes friends, and she sees that they are using the potty, while she is still in diapers, she will get the social que to use it too. I have seen it happen before. And she doesn't even have to stay the entire day, maybe just three or four hours.

I'd talk with all sorts of people, even ones you don't want to date so that you have practice when you meet someone you want to date. Places to look would be places you are interested in since she would have the same interests. Anyplace that makes it easy to converse such as a library, coffee house, whole foods community room, summer concerts.
I would easily talk to guys who were friendly and had a good sense of humor. Guys who had their friends along or were flirts I couldn't get into. I always figured if they flirt w/ me they flirt w/ all the women. If they needed the guys for support then they'd discuss me with them. Just not my thing as I'm strong and independent and look for the same in a guy.

The better question would be where can't you go to pick up girls? Jesus man, look around you. If you're in a small town, your options are probably kind of thin, I'll admit. But if you live near a city, or a larger town, you can go almost anywhere.
Try stores to begin with. Grocery stores, clothing stores, hell...I've even gotten a girl's digits at Wal-Mart. The grocery store is an automatic conversation starter. Simply look at what the girl is buying, select the same product, and ask her what she thinks of it. Like ';Hey, have you tried this new Mountain Dew yet? I don't know if I should buy it';. Or make a remark about the prices, the music in the store, whatever. If she's interested, she'll start a conversation. If not, don't sweat it...this is bound to work in two or three tries.
You can also try salesgirls. Go shopping at clothing stores where they AREN'T REQUIRED to come up and help you unless you ask (Meaning avoid Abercrombie and Hollister, or really any store where they have door greeters. The better question would be where can't you go to pick up girls? Jesus man, look around you. If you're in a small town, your options are probably kind of thin, I'll admit. But if you live near a city, or a larger town, you can go almost anywhere.
Try stores to begin with. Grocery stores, clothing stores, hell...I've even gotten a girl's digits at Wal-Mart. The grocery store is an automatic conversation starter. Simply look at what the girl is buying, select the same product, and ask her what she thinks of it. Like ';Hey, have you tried this new Mountain Dew yet? I don't know if I should buy it';. Or make a remark about the prices, the music in the store, whatever. If she's interested, she'll start a conversation. If not, don't sweat it...this is bound to work in two or three tries.
You can also try salesgirls. Go shopping at clothing stores where they AREN'T REQUIRED to come up and help you unless you ask (Meaning avoid Abercrombie and Hollister, or really any store where they have door greeters. Even if you don't get anywhere, it'll still give you good practice. You can also try phone stores / kiosks, or Best Buy. Who knows where a little flirting will get you?
Parks also work really well, as do any outdoor festivals. Check the net. If there's a festival near by, GO TO IT! You won't be disappointed by the amount of single women on the prowl at festivals...carnivals, music festivals (Especially!), hell...any outdoor summer festival is really prime ground.

You are going about this in the wrong way. Number one, you asked for only girls to answer. Asking for a girl's advice on how to pick up women is the wrong angle to approach this from.
The number one way to pick up women is to not try to. You need to appear confident and act like you really could care less if they are around or not. I'm not sure how old you are but surely you have noticed that the girls around you seem to be attracted to guys that seem like jerks to you. This is for a reason.
Even if girls don't say so they are instinctively attracted to guys with confidence, even if that confidence comes off as slightly rude. Girls will tell you they want a sweet guy that shares his feelings and showers them with compliments. But it sounds like you have been doing this and it isn't working.
According to you you've got the looks, so to answer your question you should not try harder and don't just keep lookin' either. Be confident and let it show, the rest will fall into place. Good luck.

1) Don't build your life around some boy!
I'm still surprised at how many girls pick the same college as their boyfriend just so they can be together. Or pick out a career based on what their boyfriend is going to do. Or drop their friends the minute they get a new boyfriend.
2) Put off dating as long as you can. You can concentrate on yourself, have some fun, figure out what YOU want. And the longer you put off dating, the longer you'll put off the temptations of sex, which guys and girls both have way too early.
It's something my mum told me,
';Your future lies before you like a driven sheet of snow,
Be careful where you tread,
For every step will show.';
My personal advice would be to enjoy your childhood and don't try to grow up so quickly. Once your few years of childhood are gone, adulthood is forever.

What should I do? I really need some girl advice.?
There's a really beautiful girl that I like in my gym class but she is always around talking with her friends. There is no time when she is alone so I can talk to her. Plus I am really shy around girls and whenever I get near her, my brain just freezes up. I don't know what to say to her or how to get her to like me. She knows who I am since we went to middle school together. But I don't know if she likes me or not. Please help.What should I do? I really need some girl advice.?
You need to confront your fears, although it will be agony inside you need to pluck some courage from somewhere. Not all girls like a really confident guy and they especially don't like arrogance so don't be afraid to show your vulnerable side. You need to at least talk to her looks arn't everything and you may find a different person behind the face, one you may not like. The classic to get a girl on her own is saying she is needed by some upper authority like a manager or teacher or something and you've been asked to take her. When on your own you can confess that you get shy and what you really wanted was to see if you want to meet up. I know a mate who did this took her into an empty room and it all worked out fine from there.What should I do? I really need some girl advice.?
Make her notice you. Flirt a little. Do you have any other classes with her, or do you both have myspaces or facebooks? You could always ask her to ';hang out'; with you, or go to a dance or something. Or even tease her a little. Say her name then look away. You need to confront your fears, although it will be agony inside you need to pluck some courage from somewhere. Not all girls like a really confident guy and they especially don't like arrogance so don't be afraid to show your vulnerable side. You need to at least talk to her looks arn't everything and you may find a different person behind the face, one you may not like. The classic to get a girl on her own is saying she is needed by some upper authority like a manager or teacher or something and you've been asked to take her.
