What advice would you give to a high school girl who wants to become an aeronautical engineer?

Take as advanced math and physics as you can.

Go to the local toy store and start getting model airplanes and build them (the complicated ones).

If you're interested in Avionics, you'll need to start looking at electronics. I suggest you go get a ';100 %26amp; 1 electronics kit'; from some place like Radio shack.

Seriously: TOYS ARE HOW YOU LEARN THIS STUFF.

At least early on.What advice would you give to a high school girl who wants to become an aeronautical engineer?
This is a fantastic career goal. An engineering degree can take you around the world if you want.

I support the first answere's advice about getting the electronics and aircraft kits.

I will add to this the need to spend a week with an aeronautical engineer. See them in action to ensure that this is what you would love to do. You will either hate it or love it. If you love it, you will use this experience as motivation to push you through this demanding course.

Keep your sights on your goal.
