Girl get Girl advice on how to get over a guy and be strong?

Please, i loved this guy, and he turned his back on me for another girl. Some advice on being strong and moving on, please? I really need someGirl get Girl advice on how to get over a guy and be strong?
Hate him. Thats the only way I can get over it.

Cry it out-it all out. Throw a fit! Then when youre done, tell yourself he's an a-hole and never cry about him again.

Even flirt around (I dont mean f*** around). Just having attention from other guys will help you to realize you dont need his attention.

But Cosmopolitian suggests if it still doesnt work and you find yourself wanting to call, wear a rubber band on your wrist. Everytime you even think about calling- pull that rubber band back and let go so it hurts your wrist. Eventually your brain will associate ideas of him with pain and you should be able to stop thinking about him. I've never done it tho, I wouldnt know if it works.

Oh and another thing that works for me is a makeover! Go shopping, buy new clothes. Cut your hair/dye your hair. When I get a makeover it makes me feel sexy again and helps rebuild my self-esteemGirl get Girl advice on how to get over a guy and be strong?
guys come and go, and he most likely wont be last jerk to do so...but * DON'T WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE IN YOUR PAST BECAUSE THERE IS A REASON THEY DIDN'T MAKE IT TO YOUR FEATURE* speaking u loved him and all its just going to have to take some time and you will get over him. good luck
first of all, remember that you are not alone, many of us have been through this too and we are here to support you. i know what you're feeling right now is terrible but let me assure you it will pass. try and remember that if this guy couldn't see how amazing you are, that's his problem. you are someone's dream girl and now that this relationship is over, you are that much closer to finding the right person for you.

distract yourself a little, watch your favorite show, rent movies you've been wanting to see, but also allow yourself to feel hurt when you need to. write down your feelings. pour out everything you want to tell him and everything you would say to him if you could confront him. everything! but just keep it for yourself, don't show it to him. try to have as little contact with him as possible, hopefully no contact. in time the hurt will lessen and then you'll wonder why you were ever so upset! trust me.

this guy is a fool and this other girl is not better than you. don't let this affect who you are and why you love yourself. also, talk about it with someone you trust. sometimes it just feels good to get out all your thoughts and feelings.
Love sucks, doesn't it. The bad news is that it's probably going to hurt for a little while.

The good news is, you will get over it, and will find someone sooo much better.

Keep yourself busy and surround yourself with the things you love - for example friends, movies, your animals etc.

Obviously he's not worth your love, or your energy.

I know it sucks, and nothing that anyone says will make you feel any better. But it does get easier - I promise!
