I just found out we are having a baby girl! Any advice you want to offer?

I just want to hear from Moms and Dads who've raised girls :) Anything you want to say is welcome! I just found out we are having a baby girl! Any advice you want to offer?
I have a daughter turning 3 in a few days - she already has the drama and attitude of a teenager. And she has Daddy totally wrapped around her finger - just gives him a cute look and gets what she wants. So watch out :)I just found out we are having a baby girl! Any advice you want to offer?
Well Congrats!!

Raising a lil girl, is great in terms of dressing them, doing their hair, and doing all the girly stuff, such as crafts, playing fairy etc.

However girls are miniature women in a sense, they're as complicated as we are! LOL so the manipulation, demanding, and bossing around is already present at any age!!!

It's great in a way because you can communicate with them much more than with a boy and can share more things with them.

I'm raising both, girls and a boy! So I can compare I guess. Im not sure what is harder honestly I dont know. I have a 20 mos old that pretty much rules our lives!! A 5.5 yr old is a chatter box and loves everything girly-from dressing up, to doing crafts, till having her hair done a certain way, to doing ballet.. and My almost 4 is a boy and he's totally different. He enjoys being active, though my daughter does too, the difference I guess that she's as happy colouring and paiting as she's playing at the park. Whereas my son HAS to be outside!!

Im sure you'll have lots of fun!!
Congrats! I have a little girl that is 3 months old and I just love her.

Just be prepared for how much you're gonna be asked ';boy or girl?'; Honestly it doesn't matter if she is wearing pink or not. My daughter will be in her pink carrier with a pink or floral outfit on and I will still get asked if she's a boy. I just want to say ';Yes, I always dress my son in pink.';
Congrats!!! I have a 9 month old baby girl (= the thing that I find very helpful is baby sign language. It helps her say what she wants before she can actually speak the words! I started at about 6 months ans it took a month or so before she caught on but now its so great.

again, congratulations!!!
they are great, just as i am sure boys are; dads get superprotective though, lol; my hub joked he was going to name her gertrude something so no one would ask her out in high school...
Sometimes they can be emotional and they love to copy their mommies. so make sure you give her a good example to follow after. My daughter is like a mini me.
I was so surprised how much girls like shoes.
Tell your husband to buy a shotgun. He's going to need it when the boys come around.

TX Mom

get ready to be wrapped around her finger :)
Whoa, hang on. You could still lose it yet.
