GIRL ADVICE! My 15th birthday is coming up and my parents are stuck on having it traditional.?

You know white dress and everything. But I always dreamed of having a colored dress. I want to save white for my wedding. I am trying to convince my mom to let me have a colored dress. I was think a very light pink. If you can offer me a different color or give me advice on convincing my mom.

Can I ask.. what the dress for? Cause it's just 15. Even 16, I don't see why people go do big stuff. When I turned 15, I stayed home and watched a bunch of movies with 2 friends. Seriously, it's not a huge thing. So I don't get what's traditional about turning 15. It's just a #.





Just tell your mom what you told us. She should understand. Just tell her, you want to save white for your wedding. Tell her what you were thinking, and what you'd really rather. She should understand.





EDIT: Ah ok, thanks for explaining. It's just where I come from, 15 is just a number. No one really celebrates it much :P So I was just curious on the traditions you celebrate. And I still say, if you talk to your mom and just explain EXACTLY why you don't want a white dress, I'm just she'd understand.GIRL ADVICE! i am an 8th grader my parents let me wear jeans and a T-shirt, they don't care so i don't know much of so called ';traditional';
you should wear a black dress with a skull necklace. Let your gothic side out.
